This 5-Day Private Tour from Tangier will show you around Tangier with its spectacular caves, Chefchaouen, the gem of the north with its blue and scenic alleys, Meknes and its gorgeous doors, then Fes, the spiritual capital with its labyrinth-like marketplaces.
Here starts your tour. Tangier, the mysterious, is visited on this day. This coastal city, isolated from Spain by the tiny strait of Gibraltar, is known for its Kasbah, Cap Spartel, and Heracles’ caves. In Tangier, you’ll have dinner and an overnight stay.
There are two ways to get to Tetouan and its UNESCO World Heritage Medina: the straight path interior or the Cape Malabata road, which winds down the coast to Ceuta and provides spectacular views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the Rif dropping into the blue of the Mediterranean (around 40 miles farther).
The route then climbs into the Rif mountains and crosses the countryside before arriving at Chefchaouen, the blue city.
Take some time in the morning to meander around the indigo-blue streets of this magnificent city of Rif before heading to Fez.
We will visit Meknes, Morocco’s third imperial city, with its 40 kilometers of fortifications. We will see the city’s key sights in Meknes, such as the Bab El Mansour gate, the Bab Lakhmiss gate, the royal stables, and the Moulay Ismail tomb.
We will next go to Volubilis to visit the old Roman remains before continuing on to Fes.
You will have a guided tour to see Fes, with its opulent palaces, madrassas, and souks of all colors, as well as its historic medina and its labyrinth of lanes. You’ll have enough time to become fully immersed in this historic royal city’s way of life, which also serves as Morocco’s spiritual capital.
We’ll transfer to the airport in Fez or Tangier to end our Private Tour from Tangier.
