Itinerary of the Tour from Tangier

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier

When you arrive at Tangier airport, our staff will meet you to start our Tour from Tangier. They will drive you to the hotel, where supper will be provided according to your time of arrival.

Day 2: Tangier – Tetouan

Your trip starts with a stop at Tangier, which has the magnificent harbor of Gibraltar, Cap Spartel, the Hercules Caves, the New City, and the Big Souks. After a lunch break, we’ll head to Tetouan to check out the city’s Moroccan art and archaeology museums. Have dinner and stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 3: Tetouan – Chefchaouen – Fes

Chefchaouen, in the core of the Rif, will greet you with its shaded squares, cobblestone alleyways rising on a slope, and painted cottages.

Discover the city’s blue lime homes, bustling squares, and mounted streets. The ideal method to get to know this holy city is to wander around and absorb the ambiance. It has a strong appeal that works well in the pebble-paved medina of Outa-el-Hammam.

From a café terrace, you can enjoy a spectacular view of the huge Tarik-Ben-Ziad mosque, whose conical tower is modeled after the Torre de Oro in Seville.Amid the center of the medina, in the casbah and its gardens, is this Andalusian style of building. An ethnographic museum is housed within its walls and eleven castle-like towers.

Later, you will visit Ouazzane, a 17th-century holy city, which is a significant site of pilgrimage that has never required fortifications. After sunset, we arrive in Fez where you’ll have dinner and sleep at a hotel.

Day 4: A guided tour of Fes

We’ll tour the Moroccan capital of religion, Fes with a local guide. Fes El Bali (old) is our first stop of the morning with its ancient landmarks, including Medrassa Attarine, the Qarawiyyine Mosque, one of the world’s oldest colleges (9C), the Nejjarine Fountain, and the neighborhood of dyers and souks.

After a lunch break in a historic medina palace, we’ll have an afternoon excursion to Fez El Jedid (the new), its perimeter, and the royal palace.

Day 5: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat

You carry on your trip to Volubilis, the old Roman city, and is the holiest city of the first Moroccan monarch. The capital of Moulay Ismail, Meknes, is where you next arrive on this Tour from Tangier.

After lunch, you will see El Hdim Square, two of Morocco’s most impressive entrances: Bab Lakhmiss and Bab Mansour, the ancient royal stables, and Moulay Ismail’s tomb.

The Place du Palais Royal, the Kasbah Oudayas, the Hassan tower, and the tomb of Mohamed V are all found on the route leading to Rabat, the political center of Morocco. Have dinner and spend the night at a hotel.

Day 6: Rabat – Casablanca – Marrakech

Start your journey toward Casablanca, the nation’s commercial hub and main port.

You’ll see the Anfa residential neighborhood, the United Nations Square, in which the kingdom’s principal institutions are located, the Boulevard Mohamed V with its art nouveau gems, the coastline, and the Great Mosque Hassan II.

After that, you go to Marrakech, where you will eat supper and spend the night in a hotel.

Day 7: A guided tour of Marrakech

You will explore the “pearl of the South”. Among its gems are the Menara Gardens and the Koutoubia Mosque that date back to the 12th century. The latter is known as “the mosque of booksellers,” which got its name from the location of the old manuscript souk, where the Saadians, a 16th-century dynasty, also had their graves.

In the afternoon, you’ll visit the medina, the city’s ancient core, where you may wander among colorful souks, tanners, metalworkers, leather cutters, and other artisans on the famed Jemaa El Fna, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner is served in a Riad located in the center of the medina.

Day 8: Day trip to Essaouira

Travel to Essaouira, a picturesque port city of Portuguese heritage from the seventeenth century, after breakfast at the hotel. Essaouira was fortified using a model created by the French military engineer Vauban

It is, now, a popular destination for artists. Essaouira’s craftsmen are famed for their woodwork, which comprises a broad range of objects ranging from little souvenirs to furniture to true pieces of art.

Continue on to the Sqala of the Kasbah after visiting the waterfront, then explore the market by wandering through its narrow lanes. Have lunch in one of the city’s distinctive seafood eateries. You can wander around the lovely beach in the afternoon before departing for Marrakech.

Day 9: Airport transfer

After breakfast and in accordance with the return flight schedule, we will take you to the airport, assist you with boarding, and then terminate our services of the Tour from Tangier.
