Itinerary of the Morocco Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

We begin the Morocco Tour from Casablanca by picking you up from the Casablanca airport, port, or hotel. Casablanca is regarded as Morocco’s biggest city and the country’s commercial hub.

First, we will go to the Hassan I Mosque, Morocco’s largest mosque. It is situated on a peninsula facing the Atlantic Ocean on the city’s west shore.

After a lunch break, we take a tour of the city and pay a visit to Casablanca’s magnificent seaside. Stay in a hotel for the night.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, we travel down the coast to Rabat, the present capital and one of Morocco’s royal capitals. The Hassan Tower, Mohammed V’s Mausoleum, and the Kasbah of Oudaya are among the city’s features that you will see on the Morocco Tour from Casablanca.

After a lunch break, we go north through Ouazzane in the afternoon to reach the Blue City of Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains. The city is well-known for its white and blue-painted houses and lanes. Stay in a hotel for the night.

Day 3: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

Feel free to walk through Chefchaouen’s picturesque lanes after breakfast. Then, we go to Volubilis to see the Message antique Roman remains. It has been properly kept because it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features several exquisite mosaics spread throughout, as well as old pillars and archways.

After exploring the ruins, we drive 30 kilometers to Meknes. In addition to being one of Morocco’s imperial cities, the city is regarded as the capital of the Ismailis. Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahry Souant basin, the Royal stable, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum are among the sights we see.

Then, we’re off to Fes where you will stay at a Riad for the night of this Morocco Tour from Casablanca.

Day 4: A guided tour of Fes

After breakfast, we will go on a tour of the city’s highlights with a local guide. Fes is one of Morocco’s imperial cities, as well as its cultural and religious hub.

To begin the day, we go to the Royal Palace gate. Then, there’s the well-preserved medieval Medina, which UNESCO has designated as a World Heritage Site. You will go to the Blue Gate, also known as Bab Boujloud, which is the gateway of the old Medina. To see the Tanneries, the Najarine fountain, and the Madrasa Bouanania, you must enter the Medina. We also stop by the Quaraouiyin mosque and university, which is the world’s oldest institution.

After that, we depart Medina to see the Jewish section also known as “the Mellah”. We will drive to a historic citadel in the afternoon for a spectacular view of the Medina and the city of Fes. Sleep in your Riad for the night.

Day 5: Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest – Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga

After breakfast, we go to Ifrane through Imouzzer. The city is known for its cold environment, snowfall, and Alpine architectural style residences. That is why it has been dubbed Morocco’s Switzerland.

The cedar grove, which is home to the Barbary macaques, is our next stop. While exploring the forest, you are welcome to feed them. We’ll have lunch in Midelt later. After stopping for panoramic views, we carry on to Merzouga over the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and the Ziz valley.

Then, in the late afternoon, we go to Merzouga, where you may ride camels to explore the Saharan desert. You’ll take a break on top of a high dune to view the sunset. Finally, you arrive at the camp, which is a cross between primitive nomadic tents and the opulence of a hotel.

While stargazing beneath a vast open sky, you may dance around the campfire and listen to the rhythm of the Berber drums. The desert camp will provide you with dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Get up early in the morning to admire the gorgeous dawn. Breakfast is served before returning on camels to Merzouga where your driver awaits. To explore Rissani town, the former seat of the Tafilalet government, we depart the desert. Rissani remains a key trade hub in the region, with a bustling souk on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

After a tour around Rissani Souk, we travel to Erfoud to see one of the fossilized marble workshops. Then we travel through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad to reach the Todra Gorges. The Todra River’s flow has cut a magnificent canyon through the mountains, creating a towering red cliff-sided gorge. These gorges are perfect for rock climbers. Feel free to roam around the gorges and take in the scenery.

After a lunch break, we proceed to the Dades valley, passing via Boumalne Dades. Stopping at the “monkey fingers” rock formation is unavoidable with a peak with a view of the Dades valley. Finally, have dinner and stay at a local hotel.

Day 7: Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

We continue our journey to Kalaa Magouna after breakfast to view the Rose Valley. In May, there is a Rose Festival where residents sell rose goods ranging from fragrances, rose water, and oil to cosmetics. We then travel through Skoura’s palm groves.

Later, we arrive at Ouarzazate, commonly known as the Desert Gate. We’ll go to the studios where renowned movies were made.

We go towards the well-known Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. It is a fortified settlement designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in several films, including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and others. We proceed to Marrakech driving via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass as well as the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains.

Lunch breaks and photo opportunities at noteworthy locations will be scheduled. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech and spend the night in a Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca

On the final day, we will travel north to Casablanca airport, stopping for breathtaking vistas along the way. We’ll take you to the airport to end the Morocco Tour from Casablanca.
