At 9 a.m., we’ll join you at your hotel in Agadir or the airport, and then we’ll go south down the Atlantic coast to start the Tour from Agadir to Desert. We will visit the natural reserve of Souss Massa and then the city of Tiznit, which is well-known for its jewelry and silverware.
Move downward a seaside road to Aglou Beach for a lunch break. Then travel via the picturesque towns of Mirleft and Sidi Ifni to reach the beach of Legzira, where you will spend the night in a modest hotel.
At eight in the morning, we go from the Atlantic coast in the direction of Taroudant (little Marrakech), passing via Guelmim (the Sahara’s entrance) and the Anti-Atlas foothills, where tiny oasis and Berber communities are encircled by a beautiful mountainous Saharan environment.
After a brief photo stop at the pink-and-white granite boulders that encircle the entrance to Tafraoute, lunch will be served. To get to Taroudant, we then go across a huge panorama of mountains and argan trees. You will spend the night in a Riad/hotel.
After breakfast, go early to explore the walls and souks of Taroudant’s medina. Cross the Kasbah el Glaoui to get to Taliouine, the saffron capital, and have lunch there.
The Draa Valley, home to the world’s biggest palm plantation and the kingdom’s longest river, is our next stop after visiting the ancient fort of Agdz, the final resting place of the ancient caravans. Late afternoon or nighttime arrival in Zagora where your accommodation is at a hotel or Riad.
We’ll leave for the desert Erg Chebbi at 9 a.m. from Zagora, which was formerly a trading road between Marrakech and the south. We start with a tour of these fortified oases and pre-Saharan Ksours, then take the route to Nekoub, Tazzarine, and Alnif for lunch.
To eventually reach the golden dunes of Merzouga, we will go to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alawite dynasty, where we will see the tomb of its founder Moulay Ali Cherif and his former Ksar Abdel Halim. In the middle of the desert, in a private bivouac with camel rides, spend the night in a typical Kasbah hotel.
Driving via the Goulmima oasis, Todra Gorge, and Tinghir, we will eventually arrive in the valley and the Dades Gorge. Following lunch, we’ll continue on Boumalne through its interesting valley until we reach the bottom of the canyon.
From there, we’ll go to Ouarzazate (the African Hollywood) through the route of a thousand Kasbahs, passing through the valley of roses in Kalaat Mgouna, the Kasbah of Taourirte, and the studios’ main area.
Fint, a hidden paradise in the Anti-Atlas Mountains, will be our destination. Continue off-road until you reach the famed Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, which is constructed in the Ounila Valley. A Kasbah hotel will provide you with dinner and an overnight accommodation.
After breakfast, we will travel to Tazenakht, “the carpet capital,” across the Anti-Atlas highlands, a scenery of mountains and an oasis. A meal will be served in the town of Tazenakht, which is located on the route to Taliouine.
After visiting a saffron cooperative, you’ll proceed to Taroudant, often known as “the tiny Marrakech,” where you may explore the ramparts and souks before continuing to Agadir. That ends our Tour from Agadir to Desert.
