On this Tour from Agadir to Erg Chegaga, learn about the trade roadpath and take in the stunning Moroccan desert. Spend the night in a desert tent beneath the stars after taking a camel ride in the Erg Chegaga Dunes.
Start your Tour from Agadir to Erg Chegaga to the south of Morocco at 8 a.m. Take the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou route, passing through Taliouine Safran’s capital city, before arriving at the town of Taznakhte, the center of the Moroccan carpet.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Kasbah Ait Benhaddou after lunch, and then leave for Ouarzazate in the late afternoon to visit the film studio. Dinner and a night’s rest are at a local hotel.
Leave at 8 in the morning for the vast Moroccan desert and the Erg Chegaga through the Tizi-N-Tifntit pass (1760m), and then proceed to Agdz for a sightseeing tour of the Draa Valley.
Next, go to the town of Afraa by driving down the Draa Valley. Here, we’ll make a stop at Tamgroute to see the Koranic library, the subterranean Kasbah, and the pottery.
After lunch in Mhamid, we’ll leave for Erg Chegaga by way of Erg Hamada Draa and stop at the revered oasis before continuing on to the Chegaga dunes. In the Erg Chegaga sand dunes, there will be dinner and overnight camping.
After breakfast, travel to Tata along the historic Paris-Dakar road, the Iriqui dry lake, and the breath-taking “Lmadwar” vista of the Moroccan desert before reaching Foum Zguid.
Next, we’ll drive through the Aguinane oasis on the way to Tata, where you will stay the night at a hotel or a Riad in the middle of the Berber city.
After breakfast, travel towards Agadir while admiring the natural splendor of the Anti Atlas and the oasis of Tiout d’Ighrm. Following a lunch break at a nearby eatery near the oasis of Tioute, we will go to discover Taroudant, sometimes known as “little Marrakech,” before heading to Agadir in the afternoon.
